As a result, Australia take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Rohit Sharma (8) and Virat Kohli (0) bitterly disappointed on their India comebacks, while new captain Shubman Gill (10) and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer (11) also flopped. KL Rahul, Axar Patel and Nitish Reddy's late charge took India to 136, but it proved to be too little in the end.
